Midsommar Festival Flowers 8x10 Color Photograph

Midsommar Festival Flowers - 8x10 Color Photograph
The Maine Swedish Colony Midsommar Festival in New Sweden is an annual tradition that should top your bucket list!  A community steeped in tradition, New Sweden has maintained many Swedish observations since its founding, including the celebrations of St. Lucia Day and "Midsommar."  Abundant wildflowers and traditional Swedish garments offer many beautiful photo ops at the Midsommar Festival.  This portrait of a young girl is my favorite shot from the 2013 festival.  Daisies, lupines and buttercups are fashioned into beautiful crowns of flowers and even more wildflowers are bound to the Maypole…then it's time for traditional music and dancing - lots of dancing!  If you have been to this Aroostook County celebration, the bright colors of this girl's dress and flower crown is an excellent reminder of your time in the north!
The photograph is matted but unframed.  It will arrive without the watermark, printed on archival quality paper.  The camera used to capture this image is a D7100 Nikon digital camera.  All photos are printed to order, so please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.  Other sizes can be made available upon request.
